Not sure what to bring for your guided fly fishing or hunting trip? We’ve compiled a basic list to help you get started:
Fly Fishing:
- NYS Fishing License / DEP Permit
- Rod, Reel, Waders, Boots, Flies [if you have a favorite of your own!] We are typically fishing 8 – 9′, 4 or 5wt rods. We can further discuss rod selection based on your trip date.
- Hat
- Polarized Sunglasses
- Sunblock / Bug Spray
- Layers – Dress for the season
- Rain Gear / Jacket
- Camera
- Additonal Snacks / Drinks
Wingshooting:
- NYS Hunting License / HIP Permit
- A safe, functioning shotgun. We prefer 16, 20, or 28 gauge. [double guns preferred; semi-autos require pre-approval].
- Shotgun shells for your gauge gun; standard load is 2.75″ target load in size 7.5 shot.
- Dog gear, if bringing a dog. E-collars, GPS collar, beeper / bell, first aid kit with specifics for your dog, water, vest, boots, etc. We can further discus individual dog needs.
- Eye protection is a must & ear protection recommended
- Blaze orange shirt or vest & hat
- Brush pants / chaps, or heavy work pants
- Comfortable boots are a must! We often wear rubber boots for wet conditions.
- Layers – Dress for the season
- Rain Gear
- Water & snacks
